February 2020

Preparations for the new exhibition are in full swing .....

And we Women of One World got to spend an exciting afternoon in the studio of award-winning artist Meide Büdel.

Here are some of our impressions.

Her abstract large-scale sculptures made of steel, wood and concrete evoke emotions through their unique form and their minimalism. "Applied natural science" is what she calls it when her kinetic objects, made of opposing materials, are held in balance and often appear visually delicate and fragile.

Meide Büdel mainly relies on her instincts to plan the feasibility of her objects: the subsequent exact static calculations almost always prove her initial, intuitive assumptions correct.

Meide Büdel is representative of many other interesting female artists and works included in our new exhibition.

Get excited for all the fascinating objects to discover in our new exhibition starting in May.

NOTE FOR TODAY (APRIL 2020):
We all sincerely hope that the Corona virus will soon release us from its clutches, so we can welcome you all in person and inside our museum again!
Stay healthy, everyone!
